Research interests: Controlled drug delivery; pharmaceutical nanotechnology; modified release formulations and computer-aided design; nanoparticles for delivery of imaging and therapeutic agents to the brain; nano medicine for treatment of diseases in the brain; synergistic nanoparticle-based drug delivery strategies for enhanced chemotherapy of multidrug resistant and metastatic cancers; glucose-responsive closed loop insulin delivery; bioreactive metal oxide nanoparticles for modulation of tumor microenvironment and enhancement of radiation therapy of tumors.
