We would like to welcome Dr. Feng Ji (Assistant Professor, Department of Applied Psychology and Human Development), to the CPIN Program.
Dr. Ji is a psychometrician/statistician and data scientist, serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Psychology and Human Development at the University of Toronto. Dr. Ji is interested in applying advances from machine learning, statistics, and causal inference literature to improve research methods in behavioural, educational, and social sciences research. Examples of his work include improving and extending psychometric, multilevel, and latent variable models to accommodate new research designs and data types; refining missing data workflows in research practice; and applications of artificial intelligence tools to answer substantive research questions.
Before joining the University of Toronto in 2023, Dr. Ji worked at Google as a research data scientist and at American College Testing (ACT) as a research psychometrician.
Dr. Ji received a Ph.D. in Biostatistics from UC Berkeley.
