We would like to welcome Dr. Vijay Ramaswamy (Associate Professor, Department of Pediatrics, Department of Medical Biophysics, University of Toronto), to the CPIN Program. Vijay Ramaswamy completed his MD at the University of Alberta, PhD at the University of Toronto and Pediatric Neurology and Neuro-Oncology training at the University of Alberta and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He is currently a Scientist at the Sickkids Research Institute in the Developmental and Stem Cell Biology Program, is an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto in the Departments of Medical Biophysics and Paediatrics, and holds a Canada Research Chair in Pediatric Neuro-Oncology. His research interests are focused primarily on leveraging functional genomic approaches to understand the mechanisms of treatment resistance and relapse in high risk pediatric brain tumours, particularly medulloblastoma and ependymoma.
