Congratulations to Quinn Pauli

CPIN Trainee News, Program Completion
Quinn Pauli

Congratulations to CPIN student member Quinn Pauli (Pharmaceutical Sciences, supervised by Dr. Rob Bonin) on completing the CPIN requirements and graduating from her PhD program. Quinn Pauli completed her PhD in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences under the supervision of Dr. Rob Bonin. Her PhD thesis focused on the metaplastic regulation of synaptic plasticity associated with forgetting in mice. Specifically, her work revealed distinct NMDA receptor signaling pathways recruited during the reversal of long-term potentiation (LTP) depending on the type of LTP induced, with implications for physiological and pathological forgetting. Additionally, she was involved in multiple projects focused on understanding and identifying new therapeutic targets for a range of neurological disorders. Quinn was awarded over $160,000 in competitive funding to lead collaborative research projects and present her work at major national and international conferences. Beyond her research, Quinn is an avid science communicator, advocate, mentor, and teacher. Now, Quinn is thrilled to be bringing her scientific expertise and dedication to patient-driven research to find treatments for neurogenetic disorders related to ionotropic glutamate receptors (GRI Disorders) as the Scientific Director with CureGRIN Foundation.
